In this 4.5-hour Adult Intermediate* sewing class you will learn to create one-of-a-kind pair of House Slippers featuring upcycled Tengui fabric (to celebrate Bon Dance season!), padding, denim, and striped trim. This Small Craft Advisorysession is hosted by Shannon Hiramoto, designer and owner of machinemachine apparel and co-proprietor of Workshop: A Collective. It will be held at Warehouse 3540 in Lawai on June 11 from 9:30am-2:00pm. There are only 8 spots available!
Tengui is a rectangular Japanese cotton handkerchief. We will be upcycling some Tengui fabrics which were produced for various Hawaii Obon festivals. Let's celebrate Bon Dance season--it's right around the corner! Note that your project's Tengui selection will differ from the one pictured; there will be a variety of beautiful prints to choose from.
